October 8, 2009 — The first chiropractic running team will hit the streets of Chicago Oct. 11 at the 2009 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Eighty-two runners from across the country will be running on behalf of Non-Profit Chiropractic Organization (NPCO).
NPCO is an official 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing chiropractic healthcare to the poverty stricken around the world in the form of non-profit clinics.
Chiropractic offices in the Chicago-land area have an opportunity to be a Friend of NPCO with a small donation to Team NPCO for Chiropractic. Offices will not only be posted on NPCO’s Web site but also listed in their Charity Village tent on the day of the marathon. More than one million spectators are expected to attend this Sunday’s marathon as well as 45,000 runners!
Team NPCO runners are running 26.2 miles on behalf of chiropractic; many of them are first-time runners and consist of doctors, patients, students, librarians and people that are supportive of NPCO and understand the importance of chiropractic care! Show your support by visiting www.NPCO.org and donating towards your favorite runner.
Fundraising is not required but many Team NPCO runners have set a personal goal and with your help, they can reach it before this Sunday!
More information on NPCO and its 82-member team can be found at www.NPCO.org.
