NCMIC announces video, COVID-19 resources for doctors of chiropractic

Chiropractic Economics April 8, 2020

The NCMIC insurance and financial products group has unveiled new resources for doctors or chiropractic dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic to address financial concerns.

“Knowing that our doctors face many uncertainties during this pandemic, we wanted to reassure them that NCMIC is here to help,” says NCMIC Senior Marketing Communications Manager Gayle Welter. “This video we created outlines the resources we’ve developed addressing many of the concerns DCs have.”

Articles on the NCMIC resource center include the topics Practicing Telemedicine, Best Practices to Minimize Risk in Your Practice, Should I Keep Practicing During This Pandemic, and HIPPA Reminders.

“We know how unsettling it can be trying to understand the recent developments of COVID-19, navigating changes to your practice and figuring out how to maintain some normalcy at work and at home,” Welter says. “NCMIC is here to help DCs by providing essential resources that address both the pandemic and your practice. Feel free to share these with others who will benefit from the information.”

Other resources include:

  • State Resources — information from state chiropractic associations, health departments and licensing boards.
  • Websites — for the most current information, we’ve provided links to the CDC, WHO, dashboard of confirmed cases nationwide, and NPR.
  • FAQs about your practice
  • Webinars — Additionally, NCMIC is developing webinars that will provide additional information that may be helpful to you and your practice.
  • Weekly policyholder COVID-19 update email
