NCHS offering 12-hour CE scoliosis credits for chiropractors in July

Chiropractic Economics June 30, 2021

Northeast College of Health Sciences (formerly New York Chiropractic College) is offering a live scoliosis webinar on July 24-25, 2021.

More than nine million people in the United States have scoliosis, yet the nature of the disorder and how to properly care for it are largely misunderstood.  Although X-rays give rise to the impression that scoliosis is a static, two-dimensional deformity of the spine, it is, in fact dynamic and three-dimensional. Therefore, any exercise or therapy program addressing scoliosis also needs to be dynamic and three dimensional in nature.

On July 24-25, Dr. Marc Lamantia will be hosting a live webinar on “Three-Dimensional Exercise and Therapy for Scoliosis.”  This course has been pre-approved for CE credit in many states (see below). This is a 12-hour course broken into two separate six-hour sections that can be taken independently.

Learn scoliosis-specific exercise training, which requires an understanding of normal biomechanics and pathomechanics most commonly encountered in clinical practice. This module will prepare the post-doctoral learner to evaluate and manage adult and adolescent scoliosis cases, and provide programming for both in-office and home exercise regimens for your patients.

This 12-hour online seminar series will instruct the learner in:

  1. The Concept of Nutritious Movement
  2. The Movement Palate
  3. How to Assess Movement in Scoliosis Patients
  4. Three Dimensional Correction of Atlas/Axis/Occiput Subluxation
  5. Rasterstereography 3D Bio-Topography
  6. The Psoas Muscle in Lumbar and Thoracolumbar Curvatures
  7. Dynamic Control
  8. Evaluating X-rays for Scoliosis patients
  9. Preparing a 3 Dimensional Exercise Program
  10. Corrective Breathing Exercises
  11. Poses/Postures for Activation of Neglected Muscle Groups
  12. Dynamic Exercises, and
  13. Assisted Device Elongation and Manual Mobilization

Instructor Marc J. Lamantia M.S., D.C., DACNB currently practices in the New York office for Scoliosis Systems LLP and is an adjunct faculty member with NCHS where he teaches Postgraduate Education in Scoliosis and Neurology.

If you’ve been wanting to learn more about the nature of scoliosis and how it is best cared for, this is an excellent opportunity to do so while also meeting CE requirements.

Early bird pricing is available before July 18, 2021.  To learn more, and to see a list of states where CE has been approved for this course, visit the links below:
