NASM offers advanced specialization to DCs

Chiropractic Economics June 5, 2008

June 5, 2008 – The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), a health and fitness solutions provider and fitness professional certification authority, announced it will now offer its Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) and Performance Enhancement Specialization (PES) advanced specializations to licensed chiropractors. Chiropractors will be able to attend one-day conferences across the United States to obtain applicable, clinically-relevant training to identify movement imbalances, recondition the movement system and lower injury risks.

NASM’s CES and PES programs derive from a progressive, systematic, evidence-based training model which has been tested and utilized with top professional athletes. Through the CES advanced specialization attendees will learn reproducible techniques to correct muscle imbalances and establish proper movement patterns applicable to the active population. Each one-day specialization workshop will also award a total of 6 continuing education units (CEUs) to participants upon completion.
