Mt. Capra Products names new president

Chiropractic Economics March 18, 2012

joe_stout_president_v2March 18, 2012 — With a vision of a future as long and successful as its near 85-year history, Mt. Capra Products CEO Frank Stout has turned over the reigns of company president to his son, Joseph.

“The only thing that has ever been more important to me than my beloved family is creating and moving this successful natural products business into the future,” Stout said. “So it is with great pride and privilege that I hand this legacy of top quality all-natural products to my son, Joe. He has been clinical nutrition scientist for years and is ready to step up and lead the company.”

“As family members, we share the same values and as colleagues share the same business vision. There couldn’t be a more perfect fit,” he added.

For Joe, taking over the reigns at Mt. Capra is an exciting venture, but one that he has prepared for over the years. In fact, the history of the Stout family’s entry into the nutritional supplement industry is as rich and wholesome as the products Mt. Capra manufactures.

As a young child, Joe watched eagerly as his dad built this small business from a farm that focused on goat milk cheese making to the successful farm-centric manufacturer that it now is.

The pure and natural life of farming has always been Stout’s love and livelihood. Born in Everett, Wash. in 1951, Stout worked in the cow dairy industry for several years and even ran his own cow dairy up until the mid-1980s. He used that experience to build a goat dairy from the ground up and then bought the accompanying business — Mt. Capra — making it a showplace and benchmark for the natural nutritional supplement industry.

Since then, the company no longer produces cheese for the general public, but has refocused its dairy product line to serve the nation’s growing interest in nutritional supplements. Using dried whey and evaporated milk, Mt. Capra has developed a complete inventory of powdered and encapsulated protein supplements.

Joe, who holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in food science and human nutrition, has this vision for Mt. Capra: “We must continually strive for excellence, always stay ahead of our competition and give our customers the top quality products they have come to expect. Most importantly, we can never lose sight of the old-fashioned values and pride that have made Mt. Capra such a success.”

“I look forward to filling my dad’s vision, and I am thrilled that he will be there to offer me guidance and counsel as we move Mt. Capra into many tomorrows,” Joe Stout added.
