Life University student receives $2,500 scholarship from Standard Process Inc.

May 27, 2016—Each year Standard Process Inc. awards over $90,000 in scholarships to students studying complementary medicine. Allison Outerbridge is this year’s Life University winner of a $2,500 scholarship from Standard Process. She accepted her award on May 18 at the university’s Student Leadership Awards ceremony.

Outerbridge is approaching her last quarter at Life University in Marietta, Georgia, where she is pursuing a graduate degree in medical nutrition.

“This is something that wouldn’t have been possible without financial assistance. I am grateful for the opportunity to have received the scholarship,” said Outerbridge. “This has been an awesome journey, and I look forward to what is to come after graduation.”

Standard Process is a visionary leader in whole food nutrient solutions and awards scholarships to college students who exemplify scholastic excellence and share a passion for wellness. To qualify for a Standard Process scholarship at Life University, applicants need to meet the following criteria:

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Provide a list of their contributions to the profession, the college, and the community
  • Provide a letter of recommendation from a professor at the school
  • Provide a written response to the given essay question
