Kathy Mills Chang accredited with MCS-P certification

Chiropractic Economics May 10, 2011

May 10, 2011 — Kathy Mills Chang, president and CEO of KMC University, completed the requirements for the highly coveted accreditation as a Medical Compliance Specialist – Physician (MCS-P) during the last MCT class in Decatur, Ill. on April 4, 2011.

This special edition of the MCS-P Certification Course went beyond the normal 40 hours of curriculum and includes 8 additional hours of instruction to obtain a Certificate of Chiropractic Proficiency.

The Medical Compliance Specialist – Physician (MCS-P) Certification Course is an in-depth examination of regulatory compliance issues associated with a physician’s practice environment. It provides healthcare professionals with a broad base of foundational compliance information and a clear understanding of the laws and regulations which influence decisions and guides the daily operation of a healthcare practice.

Dianne Baynes, RN, DC, also received the accreditation, making KMC University the only dedicated chiropractic reimbursement consulting company to have two MCS-Ps in its roster. As of April 4, 2011, Kathy Mills Chang and Dr. Baynes became part of a select group of just 49 healthcare professionals in the chiropractic profession to have received this certification.
