K. Jeffrey Miller, DC, receives certification as medical compliance specialist

Chiropractic Economics September 11, 2013

kj_millerSeptember 11, 2013 — K. Jeffrey Miller, DC,  recently received certification as a medical compliance specialist (MCS-P) through Medical Compliance Training. The certification is designed to help providers in all fields of healthcare develop compliance programs to meet government requirements for Medicare and other third-party payer systems. Miller’s certification emphasizes compliance in the chiropractic field.

Miller also holds status as a certified chiropractic peer reviewer through Logan College of Chiropractic.  As a certified reviewer, Miller served as a member of the peer review committees for the Kentucky Board of Chiropractic Examiners and Kentucky Department of Worker’s Compensation. He has also worked with a number of insurance carriers in settling peer review disputes between the carriers and doctors of chiropractic.  The recent MCS-P certification will augment his work in the peer review and compliance fields.
