May 18, 2011 — Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) spokesperson, Ret. General Rebecca (Becky) Halstead, received the Chiropractic Crusader Award May 14 at the Breakthrough Coaching Seminar in Chicago.
The award, presented by Mark Sanna, DC, recognizes outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to the chiropractic profession. Halstead was the first female graduate of West Point and the commander of 25,000 troops in Iraq. After chiropractic care relieved her of debilitating fibromyalgia, she became the spokesperson for the foundation and has contributed greatly to its mission to generate positive press for chiropractic.
Also receiving an award at the event was Mark Ford, DC, of Pampa, Texas. Ford was awarded the Outstanding Commitment Award recognizing his service to his patients, community, and profession. He is celebrating his 29th year of chiropractic practice.
