November 25, 2010 — The Washington Redskins Cheerleaders, the “first ladies of football,” have recently joined the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress in sharing their positive experiences with chiropractic care.
The cheerleaders, who rely on chiropractic care to achieve optimal health, improve mobility and to prevent injuries, will also join the foundation at the 2011 Parker Seminars in Las Vegas, Nev., Jan. 13–15.
“People don’t view cheerleading as a competitive sport, but you have to try out every single year in this industry and it takes a large toll on your body,” states Amanda Mitchell, second-year Washington Redskins Cheerleader. “Without chiropractic care I would not have made it past my first year. After receiving treatment, I began to notice the pain starting to subside as well as improvement in flexibility during performances.”
The Washington Redskins Cheerleaders recently participated in the foundation’s latest video public service announcement (PSA), which will be released during the Parker Seminars in Las Vegas.
The video focuses on the benefits of chiropractic in regard to cheerleading — including direct quotes on why chiropractic care is so essential to their training. This video will be available to all foundation members (at no extra cost) to use locally for TV advertising or to share with patients in reception rooms.
“I’ve experienced multiple injuries during my career as a cheerleader — everything from pulled hamstrings to sprains and even lower back pain — setbacks that chiropractic care have always helped me recover from,” comments Chelsea Causey, third-year Washington Redskins Cheerleader.
Three representatives from the squad will be assisting the foundation at their booth during the Parker Seminars. They will also be performing on stage during a couple of general sessions, as well as participating in photograph/autograph sessions at the foundation booth — Foyer 3.
