December 6,2016—A legal battle is taking place in the State of Texas that could significantly impact the ability of doctors of chiropractic (DCs) to provide their services to patients.
A decision backed by the Texas Medical Association (TMA) desires to limit the ability of DCs to diagnose within their scope of practice.
The TMA won the lawsuit against the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners to remove diagnosis from the chiropractic scope.
While this decision is under appeal, a significant battle lies ahead.
What happens in Texas has the potential to spread quickly and impact the future of chiropractic nationwide. All DCs must step up to protect the profession!
