Embrace Technology and Innovate the Way You Engage Your Patients – Communicate, Educate and Add Value

Jay S. Greenstein October 1, 2020

Did you know that building your own custom mobile app costs upwards of $500,000?

Well, yes … and no. Creating your own app is not a scary thing anymore. In fact, unlocking technology to help chiropractors grow their practices is now affordable for anyone and everyone who knows how important it is to meet patients where they are — on their phones!

upgrade your topical pain relief

Our team has developed a platform designed specifically for the chiropractic practice owner. Using our multiple chiropractic practices as our testing sites, we built a custom mobile app focused on three key areas chiropractic entrepreneurs concentrate on every day: convenience, care plan adherence, and helping more people through new patient acquisition.  Our Kanvas app – customized to each one of our customers’ practices – uses proprietary clinical algorithms, gamification, and social referral effects to dramatically enhance the patient experience, and grow chiropractic practices.

The Kanvas app is truly an extension of your brand that can help deliver helpful information to the patient and also serves as a trusted resource available “on-demand.” Patients can receive condition-specific, on-demand exercise videos, schedule appointments through the app, pay their bill, refer a friend or family member, and purchase helpful products and services all through their mobile device.

In addition, the combination of high tech and high touch can have an extraordinary impact on your brand and your bottom line. My practices along with many of our Kanvas App customers utilize low cost (<$15) and effective products to help motivate and encourage patients throughout their wellness journey. A small “reward” helps with patient engagement and reinforces to the patient the progress they are achieving. We like using a topical pain relief product, as it provides an immediate benefit (pain relief) and complements the care we are providing while the patient is at home. We’ve seen from the literature that patients prefer topicals over the use of ice so we know we are introducing a solution that adds even more value.

Several of the product manufacturers provide programs that can help support home programs and community marketing efforts. For example, our topical pain relief partner, Stopain® Clinical provides a free customized sample program that allows the practice owner the opportunity to add their logo and clinic info to a marketing piece that includes a topical pain relief sample. Once patients learn the benefits of Stopain® Clinical, they can order it right through a tile in the app. This app functionality is the patient’s portal for world-class, pain relieving product, and a hassle-free profit center for the practice owner. It’s high tech and high touch in tandem to drive patient loyalty!

We believe it is important that the experience with our brand extends beyond our clinic and reaches our “consumer” (patient) in their home and throughout their community. Driving remarkable clinical and business results through both digital and brick-and-mortar strategies is imperative in today’s environment. Technology and strategic partnerships with strong, trustworthy brands help us to deliver on our mission of inspiring and empowering a healthier, happier world. It is critical to partner with technology and product manufacturers with a shared, purposeful objective to commit their expertise and resources to help chiropractic practices grow their business.
