October 6, 2009 — On Friday, Nov. 6, the campus of Cleveland Chiropractic College-Kansas City (CCCKC) will once again open its doors to share an in-depth look at chiropractic with those exploring career options. Known as “D.C. Discovery Day,” the program allows potential students to visit the college and learn more about becoming a doctor of chiropractic.
Attendees will hear from qualified professionals, who will answer questions about the chiropractic profession and the academic path that one takes to secure the degree.
Two Cleveland alums, Dr. Shannon Pishny ’05 and Dr. Patrick Hammond ’97, will share their experiences in the profession. There will also be a tour of the campus facilities, including a visit to the anatomy lab with Dr. Paul Barlett, academic dean. Other activities scheduled are a mock adjusting session with Dr. Katherine Smith ’83, instructor.
D.C. Discovery Day begins at 9 a.m. on the CCCKC campus. Those interested in attending can RSVP to kc.admissions@cleveland.edu or call 800-467-2252, ext. 1744. The Office of Admissions is also providing complimentary hotel stays for those traveling from out of town.
