Comfort system promotes spine alignment with seated posture support

Chiropractic Economics Staff June 24, 2012

June 24, 2012 — Hall International launched its patent-pending Acme Posture Partner comfort system designed specifically to provide comfort and improve the quality of life for the user and to provide peace of mind for the caregiver.

Inventor Susan Hall Childress said, “When I realized that poor sitting posture caused by a weak upper body was the primary source of my mother’s pain and discomfort, I knew that I had to do something to help her, so I did.”

Acme Posture Partner, a series of five cushions, was developed out of love and necessity and designed to provide overall comfort and a renewed sense of dignity for a loved one.

This system is designed to aid patients to have a higher quality of life as well as improves comfort and posture. There is a trend of facilities striving to be “restraint-free.” The posture pillows have flame-resistant and anti-microbial treatment.

Childress says, “I had peace of mind knowing that my comfort system provided the support needed to prevent mother from leaning to one side and that her spine was more in alignment while sitting, easing the pain in her back, which was a result of a lifetime of rheumatoid arthritis. Also, the versatile cushions could be used under the knees and/or while lying in bed to provide support and safety. Knowing she was more comfortable, the smile on her face, and the effort to communicate made each visit special.”

The Posture Partner is intended to improve the quality of life of seniors and others dealing with a loss of strength and mobility.
