November 11, 2013 — ChiroHealthUSA, a provider network working in conjunction with a discount medical plan organization (DMPO), is set to donate more than $130,000 to the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress, the Congress of Chiropractic State Associations, and 18 other state associations that signed up for their alliance program. These funds will help these entities offset expenses incurred in their effort to advance the chiropractic profession.
“We believe that our mission goes beyond the elemental ‘for profit’ approach. We all belong to chiropractic, and we all need to help, invest, and support the advancement of our profession, at all times, and at all levels. That is why since our inception, we have donated over 5 percent of our gross revenues to help support state associations, COCSA, F4CP, and others,” Ray Foxworth, DC, president of ChiroHealthUSA said. “The more we help, the more we get involved, the more our profession can have an impact on the patients we serve and healthcare in our nation” he added.
On the other hand, there are more than 30 state associations that haven’t signed up for ChiroHealthUSA’s alliance program, which offers state associations a portion of the networks revenue coming from those states. It is estimated that more than $40,000 will remain unclaimed. “Those funds could benefit many state associations,” Foxworth indicated. “We want to help state associations generate non-dues revenue and it’s an easy process to formalize a relationship so we can start writing those checks,” he added. ChiroHealthUSA does not accept, require, or request a formal endorsement.
