Parker University re-elects chairman of the board of trustees

August 29, 2018 – On August 9, 2018, elections were held for the Parker University Board of Trustees Executive Committee, where positions were either re-elected or a new Trustee was named. The Board of Trustees also voted to extend President Morgan’s contract to June 2024.

John Huston, Asst. Treasurer – Florida

Amy Wood, DC, Chair of the Trustees Committee – Texas

Gery Hochanadel, Ph.D., Appointee to the Executive Committee – Kansas

At Large Board Members are:

Jack Donovan, DC, DHum (Hon) – Member – Iowa

Raymund C. King, MD, JD, FICS – Member – Texas

Stacey Olson, DC, – Member – Arizona

Oliver “Bud” Smith, Jr., DC, long-term board member says, “It has been a privilege to be on Parker University’s Board of Trustees over the last several years. I am on the board with some of the best and brightest in the field of Chiropractic and health and wellness. Each of them has a vested interest in not only the continued growth of the university but to the excellence in education that helps set Parker University apart.”  He continues, “I can speak on behalf of the entire board when I say that we couldn’t be happier with the direction Dr. Bill Morgan has charted and his plans to lead Parker University and Seminars into the future.

Additionally, under the direction of the Board of Trustees, President Bill Morgan and his Cabinet presented to the Board a five-year strategic plan for Parker University that was unanimously approved. Parker University’s College of Chiropractic program anticipates that the DC class starting in September will be one of the largest in the University’s history. Also, students enrolled in Parker University’s Business of Health/Technology and Health Sciences Colleges have doubled since the inception of those programs.

“The combination of high level talent, vision, and leadership has poised Parker University to continue to grow in prominence, proportion, and excellence. Our five-year strategic plan has created a roadmap for an inspirational journey into the future,” states Bill Morgan, DC, president of Parker University. “We intend to challenge the current definitions and beliefs of healthcare leaders and to prepare the next generation of Parker graduates with the tools they will need for the future they will help to create.”
