Investigating the Efficacy of Treatment for Low-Back Pain

Ground-breaking research proves a 34.5 percent improvement in patients with chronic low-back pain when using Foot Levelers custom orthotics.

Manuel Duarte, DC, will discuss the research just published in the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation designed to investigate the efficacy of treatment for low-back pain.

A volunteer sample of 225 adults with chronic low-back pain was randomized into three treatment groups: Foot Levelers shoe orthotics, orthotics plus chiropractic care, and no treatment.

The primary outcome measures were change in perceived pain and functional health status.
