Back App US announces new ergonomic office chair

Chiropractic Economics October 9, 2013

BackAppOctober 9, 2013 — Americans are sitting more than ever.1 From the office, to the car, to the couch, it’s no surprise that more and more people are seeking treatment.

To relieve the underlying strain caused by sitting on standard office chairs, Freddy Johnsen has developed the Back App Ergonomic Chair. The Back App, which has been exclusively sold in Europe, is now available in the U.S.

The Back App is said to have been clinically proven to relieve stress and pressure on the discs and spinal muscles, while stimulating core strength. Recent studies from the Mayo Clinic have shown that prolonged static sitting weakens the core, decreases metabolic activity, and shortens the average life span.2 Unlike other office chairs, the innovative part of the Back App chair lies primarily in the ball under the chair itself, which along with the saddle seat, not only ensures a correct sitting position, but also helps actively train the user’s back muscles, changing the way people sit for the better.

With its sleek, Norwegian design, the Back App fits in with any office decor. When it’s a question of healthy posture and general wellness, the problem of sitting starts in the workplace.
