February 21, 2014 — The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) announced a distinctive partnership with ChiroTouch as an ACA Executive corporate member that can provide doctors of chiropractic (DCs) with much-needed educational tools and training to address the many challenges they face in today’s changing healthcare environment. ChiroTouch’s goal is to help DCs make the most out of their time, money, and staff resources to be compliant so they can focus on the care of their patients.
“DCs dedicate their lives daily to helping people achieve and maintain health through the power of chiropractic. Extensive health care changes like outcomes-based reimbursement, ICD-10, and HITECH in its final year are causing DCs to spend precious time dealing with practice processes, compliance and billing issues,” said Robert Moberg, president of ChiroTouch. “A principal focus of our partnership with ACA is to help DCs overcome these challenges in their practices.”
A key element of this partnership will be to offer a series of free webinars from ACA and ChiroTouch that examine many issues impacting the DC’s practice, including the HITECH incentives as they apply to the chiropractic profession, the transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10 and other practice management-related services, presented by industry experts.
“This is an outstanding opportunity for DCs to discover the many ways in which practice management services, like those offered by ChiroTouch can improve efficiency and cut costs in their practices,” said ACA President Keith Overland, DC. “These services are a critical part of the ability of chiropractic to continue its progression in the health care arena.”
