Varus/Valgus wedges reduce pronation and suppination. G&W's V/V wedges come in comfortable 6 and 9 degree angles and are designed to help align the heel during ambulation, stabilize weak or rotating ankles and decrease the loading on the ankle and knee joint to reduce pain. G&W's heel wedges can be transferred from shoe to shoe or semi-permanently installed using their double faced tape. Wedges will be comfortable and effective if permanently installed beneath the footbed or insole in each pair of shoes. Medial V/V wedges are recommended to those with the following syndromes: hyperpronation of the foot, shin splints, posterior tibial tendon dysfunction, chronic medical ankle instability, tibialis posterior tear, adult flat foot, chronic lateral compartment knee syndromes, plantar fasciitis and subtalar instability. Lateral V/V wedges are ideal for those with medial osteo-arthritis of the knee, suppination of the foot, lateral ankle instability and peroneal tendon problems.
