Axiom issues consensus statement on protocols

Axiom Worldwide’s international medical advisory board has issued a statement recommending spinal decompression via the DRX9000 be made available routinely to appropriate patients suffering with chronic low-back pain.

The task force was convened to provide guidance on Axiom’s current and emerging technologies and their application in treating chronic back pain. The task force developed its consensus statement after studying retrospective data of 94 patients as well as data from a pilot study of 18 patients.

In the future, the board will develop and implement short- and long-term clinical trials to validate the safety and efficacy of products utilizing Axiom protocols. The goal is to augment the current understanding of how to best treat chronic back pain and to determine how Axiom protocols should be used in everyday practice for these patients.
