Educational Web site launched
YourSpine.com, a Web site aimed at educating patients about the role the spine plays in overall health, was launched by Chiropractic America on June 26, 2007.
YourSpine.com centralizes easy-to-understand information about the critical role played by the spine in overall health, spinal conditions, chiropractic research, health articles, a symptom and condition glossary, and a network of certified chiropractic professionals across the United States.
“The American public’s understanding of the spine is long overdue for an adjustment,” said Herb Newborg, president of Chiropractic America. “The spine influences the proper functioning of our bodies in so many ways, and yet it is so often overlooked in making decisions about how to maintain and improve our health. We need to put it back in the public’s mindset, and show how proper maintenance of spinal health can lead to better health and wellness for individuals of all ages.”
As additional content partners come online, Yourspine.com will serve as an outlet for chiropractors and other wellness advocates nationwide to champion not only spinal fitness, but a healthy lifestyle as a whole.
Chiropractic America also announced the creation of an advisory council which will provide insights and contribute content to YourSpine.com on new developments relevant to spinal health and wellness, help steer the direction of the Web site, and collaborate with the chiropractic profession to further public understanding of chiropractic.
