COCSA announces endorsement of AMI
The Congress of Chiropractic State Associations (COCSA) has endorsed the Alternative Medicine Integration Group (AMI) of Highland Park, Ill. and its outcome measurement-based approach to chiropractic-care management as the methodology best-suited to facilitate the health and well-being of chiropractic patients, the fair and objective evaluation of DCs, and the value-based purchasing of chiropractic care for healthcare payers.
“We feel that this will provide a huge benefit to the states and especially to the profession by proving with sound clinical criteria and outcome statistics that chiropractic care is appropriate and effective for both patients and payers,” said COCSA president Jerry DeGrado, DC. “The old way of managing chiropractic care is simply not working; we need a new, patient-centered approach to achieve a new and better outcome for everyone involved.”
The joint COCSA and AMI initiative, titled “A New Outcome!” officially kicked-off July 17.
