Palmer acquires Agfa HealthCare x-ray systems

Palmer College of Chiropractic recently acquired six Agfa HealthCare Computed Radiology solutions. Agfa HealthCare provides IT-enabled clinical workflow and diagnostic imaging solutions.

The purchase includes four CR 35-X systems and two CR 30-X systems, which are being installed at all of Palmer’s imaging facilities within their outpatient clinic centers in Davenport, Iowa; Port Orange, Fla.; and San Jose, Calif. The college began using the new systems in its new academic health center in July and expects the entire installation project to be complete by Oct. 1.

Agfa HealthCare’s CR 30-X and CR 35-X systems will be used for teaching Palmer’s students the latest radiology examination methods as well as patient care. Combined, all facilities perform approximately 1,000 examinations each month.
