Lakeshore Chiropractic fights obesity by Creating Wellness
(Indianapolis, Ind.- August 19, 2008) Lakeshore Chiropractic is celebrating the opening a Creating Wellness center at their office on the northeast side of Indianapolis on Saturday September 13, 2008 from 10am-2pm. The mayor of Lawrence will appear at noon for a ribbon cutting, and their will be free food, live music, door prizes, and a farmers market. Attendees will also be able to experience all 3 dimensions of the Creating Wellness program. The public is invited to this free event.
The Wellness Center was created in response to the growing obesity rates. These rates continue to rise with no sign of stopping in the near future. It is estimated that over 60% of adults and 30% of children are now overweight or obese. Although Indiana is now finally out of the top ten (currently #11) Hoosiers are continually confronted with a plethora of options to address this growing issue.

The program at the new center addresses all three dimensions of stress with a customized wellness program. The program shows measurable results and gives the participant accountability for their changes by supplying weekly wellness coaching and a plan that is customized and adaptable according to their successes and challenges.
Along with the Creating Wellness center, Lakeshore Chiropractic also offers comprehensive chiropractic wellness services by a certified wellness specialist. They also offer weekly wellness workshops that are also free to the public.
Hours of operation are Mon, Wed-Fri 8am – 6pm, and Tue. 9:30am – 6pm. The office is closed daily from 1pm – 3pm.
