SCU welcomes new president
California native Ronald D. Kraft, PhD, has accepted the reign as the new president of Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier, Calif. The college had been seeking a new president since earlier this year, when former college President Reed B. Phillips, DC, announced his intention to vacate the position.
Kraft received his doctorate degree in higher education administration and leadership from Capella University in Minnesota, a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University, and his associate’s degree from Grossmont Community College in San Diego. He serves as a founding director on the San Diego Brain Tumor Foundation Board and has served on many higher education panels, including a variety of boards and councils in California, Virginia, and Washington.
Kraft has written articles on trusteeship and has written and published two books on entrepreneurship and strategic planning.
