FCER hires IT director for resource center
The Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research (FCER) has hired R. Joseph Rupert, a programmer from Dallas, as its new director of information technologies.
Rupert, who has more than 13 years of experience working with information systems, will help design and develop FCER’s new online Evidence-Based Resource Center (EB-RC). Rupert will be responsible for developing the first component of the center called DCConsultSM, an online clinician-patient Web site.
DCConsultSM will allow practitioners to access patient-care information, read discussions on the latest research and how it translates into practice, as well as find more detailed research articles and commentaries and active links to other databases that have a related theme, such as in the areas of nutrition, herbs, exercise, and fitness. The Web site will be available for clinicians beginning in the first quarter of 2008.
