Northwestern’s cafeteria honors Greenawalt
Monte’s Grill, the Northwestern Health Sciences University cafeteria’s new name, honors Monte Greenawalt, DC, founder of Foot Levelers, Inc., and longtime supporter of Northwestern.
The idea to rename the cafeteria came when Jim McDonald, MBA, vice president of administrative services at Northwestern, and Al Traina, DC, former president of Northwestern, met with Kent Greenawalt, CEO of Foot Levelers.. The three men wanted to name something after Monte that students and faculty use frequently.
The cafeteria received a new neon sign outside the west doors and a painted sign inside on the north wall. Upcoming additions to the cafeteria include a canvas awning placed over the west entrance to Monte’s Grill and two large contemporary light fixtures.
Greenawalt’s numerous donations to Northwestern total more than $1.6 million.
