FCER and WSCA host workshop

Co-hosted by the Washington State Chiropractic Association (WSCA) and the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research (FCER), a workshop which includes details on how to communicate with the insurance industry to support the need for care will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, in Tacoma, Wash.

The all-day workshop, which can earn attendees up to 7.5 hours of continuing education credit (CEUs), runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Additionally, the workshop will help attendees understand how to use evidence in their practice, use the Web to find literature to support the need for treatment, apply the evidence for better patient care, and know when to administer and how to use evidence to support rehabilitation services. The workshop is part of the Translating Research into Practice (TRIP) Workshop program FCER offers to state associations.

“This new workshop is designed not as a series of classroom lectures, rather it is a series of discussions between presenters and attendees,” Charles R. Herring, DC, FCER president, said. “This format allows for an excellent exchange of ideas and solutions between clinicians and the presenters, resulting in relevant, ‘real world’ information which, going forward, can be incorporated into their practices,” Herring added.

Information is available by calling 206-878-6055 or 800-824-4918.
