Employee benefits show trends toward preventive care   

Employers are beginning to take more interest in preventive healthcare, according to the trends spotted by benefits experts at Watson Wyatt.

A number of benefits trends may be of interest to chiropractors, especially those who work with corporation.

Trends include:

  • Incentives for healthy behaviors and penalties for unhealthy behaviors;
  • Full coverage for preventive care benefits;
  • Health coaches and on-site health centers;
  • More choice to meet individual needs;
  • More communication and tools;
  • More health-savings accounts and fewer plan options; and
  • Scrutiny of spousal/dependent coverage.
