October 2007 Chiropractic care given at motocross championships The University Health Center’s (UHC) Department of Sports Medicine at Southern California University of Health Sciences’ (SCU), in conjunction with ‘2 The Rescue’ extreme medical group, provided emergency care, chiropractic and soft-tissue treatment, and taping services at the 2007 LG Action Sports Championship of Freestyle Motocross (FMX) in Pomona, Caif., held Sept. 28–29. “This event provided us an opportunity to deal with professional athletes in FMX as treating doctors and first responders,” said Craig Kawaoka, DC.
