GCA awards lifetime achievement award
Hazel Cotney, DC, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 95th annual meeting of the Georgia Chiropractic Association (GCA) in Atlanta.
Cotney and her late husband Tom received their chiropractic training at the Palmer School of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa, graduating in 1957. They moved back to Georgia that same year and began their private practice in their hometown of Thomaston.
She left private practice in 1978 to take a position as Executive Director of the GCA and worked for the GCA until her retirement in 1994. She was named Chiropractor of the Year by the GCA in 1976, and was elected to Lifetime Membership in 1994.
