Northwestern sees near-record enrollment

A near record number of students are enrolled at Northwestern Health Sciences University for the summer trimester, despite the elimination of summer sessions.

Currently 802 students are enrolled at Northwestern. The record is 813 for the summer 2005 trimester.

The chiropractic program has 637 students enrolled, which ties the 2005 record for a summer trimester. The acupuncture and Oriental medicine program has 104 students, a record for a summer trimester; the massage therapy program has 57 students enrolled; and the integrative health and wellness program has four students.

According to Bill Kuehl, director of admissions, the university is poised to break enrollment records again this fall.
