ACA Pediatrics, Sports Councils to offer joint
symposium on young athletes
The American Chiropractic Association will host the first Sports and Pediatrics Symposium in the Tiger Woods Center at the Nike World Campus in Beaverton, Ore. Aug. 3–5, 2007.
The ACA Sports Council (ACASC), the ACA Pediatrics Council (ACAPC), and the Oregon Athletic Trainers’ Society will be in attendance. The event will feature lectures by leaders in the chiropractic sports and pediatrics specialties, who will address such topics as the pediatric knee, sports nutrition and supplementation for the student athlete, and how to manage concussions and other injuries, among other relevant topics.
In addition to earning 16 continuing education credits, symposium attendees will have the opportunity to take a tour of the Nike World Campus.
ACA membership is not required to attend the symposium. To register for the symposium, visit the ACAPC Web site at www.acapedscouncil.org.
