Florida governor signs chiropractic legislation

Florida Governor Charlie Crist, on June 28, signed a bill that allows chiropractors without a Florida license to practice on a chiropractic college campus. The bill also allows students to sit for their exams prior to graduation.

The bill was sponsored by Palmer College of Chiropractic and the Florida State Chiropractic Association.

This new law is important to chiropractors who are visiting teachers at an accredited school of chiropractic. They do not have to obtain a license provided they have an active and current license to practice in another state.
