Chiropractors now recognized in Thailand

Thailand has become the second place in Asia to officially recognize chiropractic treatment, according to an article in The Nation, Bangkok’s independent newspaper.

The article said testing for the certification of chiropractors took place last week, according to Oat Buranasombati, DC, president of the Thailand Chiropractic Association.

“We want to start a chiropractic course at Rangsit University next year. We hope to recruit around 30 students,” Buranasombati said.

Hong Kong was the first territory in Asia to officially issue licenses to chiropractors. Chiropractic treatment has been available in Thailand since 1993.
