CCE, COA to hold elections
The Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) as well as CCE’s Council on Accreditation (COA) will hold elections for the board of directors. All nominations for the two boards must be received by 3 p.m. MST, Aug. 27, 2007.
CCE board openings include:
• Practicing DC (one position). Nominees must currently practice chiropractic and must not be employed by a DC program Significant experience as a current or past member of a chiropractic regulatory board is preferred.
• Public member representative (one position). This individual cannot be a chiropractor and must not be currently associated with a DC degree program or related trade association within the past five years.
• CCE-accredited full-time employee (two positions). Nominees will be full-time employees who are active in teaching, research, service, or administration at a chiropractic college. No more than one individual from any college will serve on the commission at a given time.
• CCE-accredited program full-time employee (CEO). Nominees are to be CEOs and full-time employees of CCE-accredited colleges. They cannot serve in any official capacity of any related, associated, or affiliated chiropractic association of membership organization. Only one individual from any college can serve at any given time.
Positions up for election for the COA board include:
- Practicing DC (one position);
- Public member representative (one position); and
- CCE-accredited program full-time employee (one position).
Qualifications for these positions are the same as for the equivalent positions on the CCE board.
