Chiropractic highlighted on Fox TV
and in N.Y. Times
The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress’ publicity campaign continues into the new year with a 30-second television commercial starring Ms. Fitness 2006 Sarah Harding, to be shown on the Fox Sports Network during the airing of the Ms. Fitness USA 2007 contest.
The television program will be shown January 6 and 7 and re-aired January 15. (For air times, click here.) The commercial, which will show Sarah extolling the benefits of chiropractic care, will be included in the fourth and sixth commercial slots during the hour-long program. The first time slot will appear approximately 30 minutes into the program and the second will appear approximately 50 minutes in the program.
The estimated viewing audience is 150 million households.
Chiropractic also received “good press” in the December 3, 2006, New York Times Magazine. Not only did the magazine feature a full-page advertisement of Sarah Harding, paid for by the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress, it also included a three-quarter column write-up on “Reining in Pain,” which quoted Gerard W. Clum, DC, president of Life Chiropractic College West.
Clum’s interview was part of a special advertising segment entitled “Empowered Living.” The segment included three full pages of non-promotional editorial content. Clum is the spokesperson for the Foundation.
The circulation of the New York Times Magazine is more than 1 million readers.
In a letter, Cuneo said, “Your support is making all of this possible. We look forward to an even more successful year in 2007 where we will increase the public awareness of this great profession.”
Chiropractors are encouraged to pledge support at the Foundation’s Web site, www.foundation4cp.com.
