PTs to run hotline on back pain

Members of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Orthopaedic and Sports Therapy sections will answer questions on a back-pain hotline Feb. 15.

The physical therapists will answer questions about injury prevention, exercise, and ways to prevent back pain, according to a press release put out by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), which says the hotline is offered as a public service to help people learn how to minimize back pain and is not a substitute for a visit to a physical therapist or other healthcare professional.

The toll-free hotline (877-633-3278 — 877-NEED-A-PT) will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.
