Northwestern awards 31 scholarships
Thirty-one scholarships worth a total of $22,750 were presented at the 2007 Northwestern Health Sciences University Chiropractic Homecoming and Winter Gathering.
The following scholarships were awarded:
• Elisa Bott, Ryan Fischer, Stephen Gartzke, Coty Hager, Desiree Parent, and Danielle Trego — NWCC Alumni Association Scholarships at $500 each;
• Ryan Hewitt — $500 Dr. Alfred D. and Ann Traina Scholarship;
• Holly Dollerschell — $500 Dr. Donald Saunders Memorial Scholarship;
• Belinda Hauger — $750 Dr. Edward L. Wallick Memorial Scholarship;
• Christopher Danduran — $500 Dr. J. LaMoine De Rusha Scholarship;
• Ryan Hewitt and Heather McLeod — Dr. Jeffrey Jones Scholarship at $500 each;
• Elisa Bott — $1,000 Dr. John and Rita McKiernan Scholarship;
• Molly Robinson Masis and Sherra Sanders —Dr. John B. Wolfe Scholarship at $1,500 each;
• Nathan Kadlec — $500 Dr. John F. Allenburg Scholarship;
• Josh Louwersheimer — $1,500 Dr. Norman Horns Faculty Legacy Scholarship;
• Steven Clites and Julie Lynn Miller — Dr. O.A. Weum Scholarship at $250 each;
• Jeremiah Larsen — $1,000 Dr. Vincent A. Pankratz Memorial Scholarship;
• Annie Seefeldt — $500 Douglas Scholarship;
• Deverie Hartness — $1,250 Gail Sawyer Scholarship;
• Marsha Japp — $500 Joel Demoskoff Memorial Scholarship;
• Andrea Hersch, Nicholas Hoxmeier, Heather McLeod, Susan Tousignant, and Nathan Turck — Performance Health/BioFreeze Scholarships at $1,000 each;
• Cade Copeland —$500 Robert and Joey Crotteau Memorial Scholarship;
• Chris Kramp — $500 Tjornhom Family Scholarship; and
• Derek Fischer — $750 V. Duane Henre Scholarship.
Students could apply for 19 types of scholarships if they met certain criteria, which included a grade point average of 2.5 or 3.0; a need for financial assistance; or participation in extracurricular activities.
