State chiropractic associations will have a revenue-generating opportunity beginning Sept. 1, by affiliating with a “back school,” provided by Sigmund Miller, DC, founder of Chiroview Presents.
Miller, who is also executive director of the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors (ANJC), said ANJC has raised about $30,000 in nondues revenues from the program.
Miller’s updated program provides participants with skills to work with companies in a consulting capacity. The program teaches chiropractors how to conduct baseline evaluations of people lifting, carrying, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, pushing and pulling, moving under and over barriers, and sitting. Participants then learn how to teach individuals how to improve these body mechanics and then remeasure patients for improvement at the end of the classes.
Miller started the program 15 years ago and has updated it to take advantage of Webinar technology. The program is being supported by Foot Levelers, Inc.
