FCA national conference attracts 2,500

More than 2,500 registrants filed through an expo hall filled with 505 booths at the National Conference of the Florida Chiropractic Association (FCA) Aug. 17-19 at the Gaylord Palms outside of Orlando, Fla.

The attendees were able to earn continuing-education (CE) credits from the 28 CEs available. These credits were offered in 70 educational sessions.

“This was a terrific show,” said FCA CEO Debra Minor Brown. “with a record number of companies — more than 300 — and a near-record number of attendees. It was a successful celebration of FCA’s 76th year.”

For the second year in a row, FCA introduced a plenary session on Saturday morning. During that time, some 1,000 attendees listened to speakers discuss the latest research findings in chiropractic.

During a reception for FCA supporters Friday evening, John Mayer, DC, PhD, was presented as the first Lincoln Eminent Scholar Chair, recently appointed by the University of South Florida (USF).

FCA recognized a number of individuals and companies throughout the weekend, including its sponsors:
