CCCKC welcomes prospective students in open house
Forty prospective students and more than 120 Cleveland Chiropractic College-Kansas City (CCCKC) alumni, faculty, staff and administrators gathered at the “Experience the Difference” open house held July 19. The CCCKC Office of Admissions event gave prospective students an in-depth look at CCC and the profession as a whole.
Melissa Denton, admissions director, oversaw the program, while Clark Beckley, DC, liaison to the president, welcomed guests and introduced Carl S. Cleveland III, DC, who spoke on the chiropractic’s future and fielded questions.
“This event continues to be a top recruitment tool, as nearly 95 percent of the prospective students who attend enroll at Cleveland,” Denton said.
Other speakers included John Nab, DC, director of professional development; Mark Pfefer, DC, director of research; campus ambassadors Kyle Gulledge, Scott Bennington, Heather Seely, and Ben Dohrmann; and students Jimmie Douglass and Pendar Esmaeili.
The college’s admissions staff coordinates the open house three times annually toward the end of each trimester. The next open house will be held Oct. 5 during CCCKC’s homecoming festivities.
