Bridge collapse claims Northwestern employee

An exercise therapist with Northwestern Health Sciences University was one of the victims of the Minneapolis bridge collapse Aug. 1.

Patrick Holmes had worked in the Wolfe-Harris Center for Clinical Studies as an exercise therapist since 2001. In 2003, Pat was named rehabilitation services coordinator and in this position was responsible for providing high-quality care and adherence to study protocols for the rehabilitative, self-care, and home exercise components of federally funded clinical trials.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer, and their two children, Gaven, age 6, and Rena, age 4.
