Two F4CP PSAs hit airwaves in April

Two public service announcements (PSAs) were distributed to more than 2,400 AM/FM radio stations in the United States by the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) in April.

The first was about the use of iPods, while the second was about backpack safety.

The backpack safety PSA said, in part:

“Foundation doctors advise people to carry no more than 10–15 percent of their body weight in backpacks, distribute weight evenly, and select backpacks with heavily padded shoulder straps and lumbar support.”

Within a week of sending out the PSAs, four radio stations scheduled interviews with F4CP representatives to further discuss the issues presented in the announcements. Those interviewed were Fabrizio Mancini, DC; Lou Sportelli, DC; Terry Yochum, DC; and Glenn Jones, DC.
