NYCC sees record number
of students
New York Chiropractic College
welcomes a record number of students entering its doctoral
and masters programs for the fall trimester. Of the 197 new
students, 117 will enter NYCC’s doctor of chiropractic
program and 30 will begin study for masters’ degrees
in its programs for acupuncture or acupuncture and oriental
medicine.
In addition, 10 new students
enrolled in prerequisite courses NYCC offers in affiliation
with Finger Lakes Community College.
New this fall, NYCC launched
a master’s degree program in applied clinical nutrition.
Forty students enrolled in the inaugural class for the two-year
program and will attend classes one weekend each month for
two years. Faculty will provide lectures at the college’s
Seneca Falls, Levittown, and Depew locations. Because an overwhelming
response to the program resulted in a waiting list of applicants,
the college is considering offering an additional section
to the program.
