FCA conference attracts 2,400

More than 2,400 chiropractors, CAs, massage therapists, and radiology technicians swarmed the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, Fla., outside of Orlando, to participate in the national conference of the Florida Chiropractic Association (FCA) August 25-27. They were able to shop at 560 exhibit spaces occupied by more than 340 companies.

According to Debbie Minor Brown, FCA CEO, “More than 70 educational sessions were led by the best in the chiropractic world. The FCA welcomed both the ACA Sports Council and the ACA Council on Occupational Health for their annual symposiums, run concurrently with the FCA National.”

Chiropractors were able to earn up to 20 hours of continuing education credits at the conference, which also had special sessions for chiropractic assistants, licensed massage therapists, and certified radiology technicians.

Brown said the conference included new events such as the plenary (general) sessions, as well as a personal injury insurance crisis meeting, which was attended by about 600 who heard how the profession is organizing to counter the insurance industry’s anti-chiropractic smear campaign.
