Dallas MRC recognizes CERV

The Dallas County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) has recognized CERV (Chiropractic Emergency Response Volunteers) as a separate unit of its organization.

In a letter, John Carlo, MD, MSE, Dallas County medical director, said “We would like to invite all CERV responders to become part of our local MRC organization. … With your membership, MRC could then effectively schedule and deploy CERV members, which would provide a more centralized and organized response.”

MRC has included references to CERV on its Web site.

Individuals who join CERV are required to attend an orientation specific to chiropractic, which addresses how CERV is deployed and works with other medical personnel.

DCs who are interested in volunteering to help in emergency situations are invited to become members of CERV by registering at www.ihelpcerv.org.
