CCC sponsors American
Royal
Cleveland Chiropractic College
sponsored Kansas City’s historic American Royal for
the second straight year. The American Royal — an annual
event celebrating agriculture’s role in the Midwest
and drawing more than 250,000 visitors to Kansas City from
across the country — includes a variety of horse shows,
livestock competitions, and rodeo events.
The college first aligned
itself with the American Royal in 2005 and, after receiving
positive feedback and substantial exposure, signed on for
a second year. The event is being held Sept. 20 through Nov.
26 this year.
“This sponsorship, along
with the participation of Clevelanders in these events, positions
the college and the profession in front of the tens of thousands
of American Royal visitors each day, thus enhancing an awareness
for chiropractic and the DC practitioners in the local Kansas
City metropolitan community,” Dr. Carl S. Cleveland
III, president, said. “Cleveland College is a proud
sponsor and is honored to be part of this long and respected
Kansas City tradition.”
The Royal has become an institution
in Kansas City since its inception more than 100 years ago.
One of its most revered events is the barbecue contest, where
competitors from around the world compete to be named “World
Barbecue Champion.”
