ACBN offers way to accrue
class hours toward DACBN
Those with a doctoral degree
in a health-related field (DC, DDS, DO, DOM, MD, PhD) can
now accrue 300 hours toward qualifying for diplomate status
at a range of courses offered through accredited institutions,
according to the American Clinical Board of Nutrition (ACBN).
Through cooperation with the
Division of Complementary Medicine of the University of Miami
Miller School of Medicine, several classes at the upcoming
FCA Winter Convention 2006 and the FCA conventions in 2007
are approved to accrue toward the 300-hour class requirement.
The ACBN has attained full
accreditation by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies
(NCCA). NCCA is a federally (USA) recognized, national accreditation
agency. The ACBN is the first and currently only certifying
agency in nutrition beyond the doctorate level to have attained
this achievement
